We were recommended to contact the Stairlift Store by a family member that had been happy with their service. Mark provided prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable advice to help us acquire a reconditioned stairlift. We had an installation appointment set up for a few days later, but Mark called back and said that Glen, the installation and service technician, would be willing to come in a couple days earlier on a Saturday, if that was helpful. That was a tremendous help, and Glen provided a quick, clean, professional, and friendly service install. He demonstrated how to use the stairlift, watched to make sure our family member could use it properly, and even came back inside before leaving, to answer a few more usage questions. We were very impressed, have had no issues with it, and guests with some mobility issues have also had a chance to use the stairlift when visiting. We highly recommend Mark and his Team!

After being ignored by Acorn for 2 hours, by luck I called the stairlift store and left a message. Within minutes ON A SATURDAY Mark called me back and came by within the hour to help me out. He gave me a work around so my mother would not be put at risk. Best service call rate. Half the Acorn cost. You want to do business here. Best in class.

So Mark saved the day once again. My 97 year old mother got stuck in the basement. Lucky there is a phone to call me. So I came running.
After some words with Mark I was able to understand the problem and come up with a solution on my own. I called him back to report my success so he will have a solution in his back pocket for an unusual problem. I rarely post a review but I can't say enough good things about the stair lift store.

Heartfelt appreciation to Mark at the Stairlift Store. My mother's stairlift (installed 15+ years ago) suddenly stopped working. The battery was fully charged, the safety sensors were responsive, yet the unit did not display any error codes and would not move in spite of my husband's best efforts. We left a detailed message at the Stairlift Store, and Mark returned our call within 15 minutes. He patiently walked my husband through several steps, diagnosed the problem, and guided us through the resolution. We are extremely grateful to Mark for his support. I phoned all worried about my stairlift. It had stop working. Mark arranged on a Friday afternoon to have my machine serviced. Frank, the service person came by 3 pm. I will absolutely recommend Mark and the Stair Lift Store to everyone.
I called Mark on Thursday looking for a used stair lift for my Mom. She has terminal cancer and recently got sick with pneumonia. We needed this stair lift put in as soon as possible, for the best price possible. Mark was amazing and told me he had a few used lifts available, one that would fit our space and needs perfectly. He also told me that they would be happy to come and take measurements that day and install the lift on the next day, Friday.
Friday morning at 9am, Frank called me to say he was loaded up, on the way and would arrive by 10am as I live in Guelph. He was right on time. He came in the house, had a quick look and told me he could have our lift installed in an hour. I sat down and watched some TV and before I knew it, Frank was done! He was friendly, professional and efficient. Done in an hour bang on, if not a few minutes less. Frank then showed me how to use the lift, explained codes on the unit, explained best cleaning practices and told me if I have any problems or questions to just call and let them know.
This process took less than 24 hours from my first phone call to Mark to Frank finishing installation.
I couldn't have asked for a quicker, smoother more pleasurable experience. This lift will make a huge difference for my Mom still having some independence in the house. It also means that she doesn't need to waste energy trying to get up and down the stairs or feel like a burden on us needing help to get around.
Thank you so much Mark and Frank for making this so easy for us.
This will absolutely change my Mom's life in the best way.

Mark and the Stair Lift Store in Hamilton were just superb in getting a stair lift in our house for my wife. I sent a message through the website on Sunday and we had the lift installed by Glen on Monday morning all the way down in Port Dover. I have never experienced such responsive customer service ever. Mark made this so easy and Glen, who has serviced this stuff for a long time, was ultra efficient. My wife was struggling with the stairs, but problem solved inside of a day. What a great business!!

Had our starlift for over a year and recently had a small malfunction. Called and repair people were at my door in less than 1 hour. Totally fix minor problem in 30 minutes. Now that is service. If I could have given this company ten stars, I would have!! Very professional and efficient. Our 20+ year old stairlift had not been working for some time. William arrived at our home to provide a quote for a new one (or possibly a used one). But on assessing the situation, he suggested that we try a new battery (we had been told by another company that batteries for our older model lift were no longer available).
William went out to his car, obtained a new battery and in no time, had it installed!! The stairlift now works perfectly!! So refreshing to work with a company that values honesty and integrity!! We highly recommend this company!

I’m posting this review to reach others, to take at least one thing off your plate of stress, if you have become a caregiver to a family member, finding services to help that can be trusted is stressful and can feel too much like a crap shoot.

You won’t find a better provider if you need a stair lift installed in a home.

They are cost conscious, offering used stair lift options if they’re available. They provide a warranty, that does not come with a service call cost. They’re honest and informative by advising the repair only needs a part and tracking said part down if it’s possible. When it would be easier for them to make more money by just saying a whole motor needs replacing etc. Their installers are extremely knowledgeable, considerate and trustworthy.
You won’t worry while they’re in your home.
