Can You Rent a Stairlift?
Yes. The Stairlift Store offers rentals for straight, curved and outdoor staircases, subject to assessment and availability.
A rental may be worth considering when:

Types of Stairlifts Available for Rent
Straight Stairlift Rentals
A straight stairlift follows one uninterrupted flight of stairs without bends, turns or intermediate landings.
A straight rental may suit temporary access to a bedroom, bathroom or basement, or a longer period of use. The staircase must be measured to check rail length, landing space and whether compatible equipment can be fitted and removed when the rental ends.
The available model depends on the staircase, the person using it and current rental availability. A reusable straight rail must still be checked for the particular flight.
Curved Stairlift Rentals
A curved stairlift is used where the route includes bends, turns, intermediate landings or a more complex layout.
Curved rentals are assessed and quoted individually. The review considers the number and direction of turns, landings, rail configuration, parking space at both ends, expected rental period and available equipment.
The rail must fit the particular staircase. Installation and removal affect the complete cost, so a very short curved rental may provide different value from a straight rental. We will review whether an appropriate arrangement is available before confirming it.
Outdoor Stairlift Rentals
Outdoor stairlift rentals may be available for exterior steps leading to an entrance, porch, deck or another part of the property.
The assessment considers the stair layout and length, placement and exposure, access to a suitable power source, expected rental period, property location, and installation and removal requirements. Availability also depends on suitable outdoor-rated rental equipment.
Equipment intended for indoor use is not a substitute for an outdoor-rated stairlift. The model and placement must be assessed before an exterior rental is confirmed.

The Stairlift Store arranges appropriate equipment, staircase assessment and measurements as needed, delivery, professional installation and a demonstration of the controls and normal operation.
The Stairlift Store handles routine service and repairs needed during normal rental use. Your written quote and agreement should explain what support is included, what may be charged separately and any exclusions or damage and misuse conditions. Review those details before the agreement is finalized.
Removal can be arranged when the rental ends. If your needs change, contact us to discuss an extension or a purchase option. Confirm any revised costs and conditions separately; rental payments are not automatically credited toward buying a stairlift.

4. Arrange Professional Installation
Once the rental is agreed, installation is scheduled according to the staircase, equipment, location and current availability. The technician installs the stairlift and demonstrates its controls and normal operation.
